We love muesli - it’s wholesome and convenient - but found ourselves adding protein and tweaking other ingredients to make it more nutritious and functional. We also started obsessing over the confusing labels and misleading statements - in the good old (ignorant) days all we looked for was added sugar but now we had new questions: Was it organic? Was it gluten free? Were any of the ingredients genetically modified? Where did the ingredients come from? Did the dried fruit contain sulfites? Did they use processed oils?
