Protein is the most satiating macronutrients compared to carbs and fats. A high protein intake has been shown to increase lean muscle mass and aid in weight management and fat loss.

Hemp Gold protein is a complete protein meaning it contains all 9 essential amino acids and unlike other plant-based proteins, it is 91-98% digestible meaning your body can actually utilise almost all of these amino acids.

Unlike whey protein, it supports and nourishes gut health and does not contain lactose which is difficult for most people to digest.

What makes this superfood shake so super?

This product is a complete health and recovery shake, not just a protein source, and supports healthy ageing in every aspect. Most crucial are the beneficial impacts it has for gut health:

The organic nature of the ingredients means that there is no pesticide or herbicide residue such as glyphosate which preferentially kills good bacteria.
The high fibre content, plant protein, and abundance of polyphenols are all integral in feeding and proliferating the favourable gut microbes which in turn produce SCFAs and other molecules which are known to exert numerous beneficial health effects for gut, metabolic and immune function.
Fibre is a vitally important nutrient. The recommended dose is at least 30g daily but more Australians only hit the 20-25g mark. One serve of Genefuel superfood shake contains 7.7g fibre.

Ingredients

*Hemp Gold Protein Powder, *Dutch Cocoa Powder, *Chia Seeds, *Raw Maca Powder, *Monk Fruit Powder, *Ground Cinnamon, *Ground Cardamom, Himalayan Pink Salt
*Certified organic provenance

No additives, fillers, preservatives or artificial flavours - only 100% premium, organic whole foods inside every pack.

We have chosen each of these ingredients as they all contain the necessary vitamins and minerals as well as bioactive anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative polyphenols and other phytochemicals which exert beneficial health effects.
· Chia seeds help to lower inflammation;
· Cinnamon has been shown to increase insulin sensitivity and regulate blood sugar levels;
· Cocoa polyphenols and flavanols support cognitive function, gut health, immune function, and reduce cholesterol/lipid levels in the blood;
· Maca Root is also a great source of fibre to nourish gut health, and contains vitamin C, iron, potassium and calcium;
· Cardamom helps to balance the taste but is also a source of potent polyphenols (as are all herbs and spices) with antioxidant capacity;
· Monk fruit powder is a natural sweetener which can taste up to 200x sweeter than sugar so we only need a very tiny amount to sweeten the product. The sweetness actually comes from the naturally occurring mogrosides it contains which some studies have shown to have anti-oxidative effects. Unlike every other sweetener on the market, pure monk fruit powder is not an extract and does not contain any carbs, sugar or calories which means it has zero effect on glucose and insulin levels. And most importantly, it does not have any effect on gut bacteria.

All of these health benefits help to reduce risk of chronic diseases including diabetes, and cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases both directly and indirectly by increasing gut health and resilience.

Serving suggestions

Simply add 3-5 heaped tablespoons (30-50g) to 1-2 cups (250-500ml) of your favourite milk* (plant-based is best) or water and blend.

To enhance your shake, try out some of these delicious ideas:

Blend in a handful of fresh or frozen berries (any berry will do but raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries are best).

Spice it up with a teaspoon of turmeric or pinch of cayenne pepper.

For more texture, fibre, protein and healthy fats add some extra seeds – any mix of sunflower, pumpkin, hemp, flaxseed, and chia seeds.

Sprinkle it over your favourite muesli or yoghurt and add nuts and berries.

For a hot cocoa version, simply mix the powder and milk in a pot and heat very gently until hot but not boiling. Blend the hot mixture until smooth and enjoy.

Roll up with minced dates, muesli and coconut flakes to make protein balls.

Storage

Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. See packet for expiry date. For best results consume within 30 days of opening.

Some interesting facts about our approach

Why do we avoid excipients?

Excipients are inactive ingredients in medication that serve various purposes, such as to improve the stability, appearance, or administration of the active ingredient. While some excipients are considered safe for most people, others can cause adverse reactions in some individuals, especially in those who are sensitive or have certain medical conditions.

Why do we update our reports in real time?

Staying updated on health research is important for several reasons:

Advances in medical knowledge: Health research is constantly advancing and new discoveries are made all the time. Keeping up-to-date with the latest research can help you make informed decisions about your health and wellness.

Better treatment options: New research can lead to the development of new treatments and therapies that are more effective and have fewer side effects. Keeping up with the latest research can help you find the best treatment options for your specific health conditions.

Improved health outcomes: By staying informed about the latest health research, you can be proactive in taking steps to maintain or improve your health. For example, if you know about a new study linking a certain food to a reduced risk of a certain condition, you can incorporate that food into your diet to potentially lower your risk.

Personal empowerment: Keeping up with health research can give you a better understanding of your health and the options available to you, which can help you make more informed decisions about your care.

Why do we use both blood and genetic data?

By using both blood data and genetic information, we can create a more comprehensive and personalized health plan that takes into account an individual's current health status, risk factors, and potential for future health problems. This can lead to earlier detection and intervention for health conditions, which can ultimately improve health outcomes.
